How to play Bubble Shooter

Start Bubble Shooter by looking at the playing area and its controls. Clear the hanging bubbles before they reach the lower boundary. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move. Treat the first round as a chance to learn the controls. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move.

Original hexagonal matching board and bouncing projectiles.

Try a deliberate move

After a move, check what changed. Decide which rule explains the new state before acting again. Use the example to check your reasoning.

Your goal

Clear the hanging bubbles before they reach the lower boundary. Use the instructions to see which actions move you towards it. Return to the instructions when a step is unclear.

Step by step

  1. Aim and fire.
  2. Attach bubbles to the cluster.
  3. Groups of three or more equal colours disappear.
  4. Floating groups drop; five misses lower the ceiling.

Controls

Pointer/touch aim, angle controls and Fire. Read a button’s label before selecting it. Avoid pressing the same control repeatedly while a move is being processed.

A useful example

Removing one support can drop a larger mixed-colour group below it. Apply the same reasoning to the position in your own round. Consider the next action carefully.

Watch out for this

Contact with a different colour is not a match. Check the rule before repeating the action. Locate the buttons and input area before beginning a long round. Use the on-screen labels to avoid an accidental restart.
